IDEAL Tools: From Tight Bends to Tough Cuts

Built for the Jobs That Put Your Tools to the Test

From Long Conduit Runs to Tough Materials

Some jobs are harder on your tools than others. Whether you’re measuring a long conduit run, working around a tricky bend or cutting through thick metal, you need equipment that can keep up. At our upcoming IDEAL Counter Day, we’re taking a closer look at three tools designed for those challenges: IDEAL’s Blued-Steel™ Fish Tape with BlueView™ Digital Display, Guardian™ Bender and DEADEYE™ Carbide-Tipped Hole Cutters.

Blued-Steel™ Fish Tape with BlueView™ Digital Display

Designed to Go the Distance

Measuring conduit runs doesn’t have to be a shot in the dark. The Blued-Steel Fish Tape comes equipped with a built-in BlueView digital display, allowing contractors to track the length of a run as they feed or retract the tape. Built for demanding jobsites, the steel fish tape combines its 1,600 lb pull strength with a battery-powered display that offers up to 40 hours of continuous operation.

Key Features Include:

  • Digital display that measures tape length during feeding and retraction
  • Accuracy within 1 foot over the length of the tape
  • Quick calibration process for improved accuracy
  • Auto-sleep and shutdown features to conserve battery life
  • Two AAA batteries with built-in storage for replacements

Guardian™ Bender with Handle

Make Every Bend Count

Getting a consistent conduit bend takes the right technique and the right tool. The IDEAL Guardian Bender takes some of the guesswork out of the process with an adjustable angle stopper that provides a firm stopping point at your selected angle. Its durable ductile iron head is built to last while the textured handle improves grip and doubles as a straightedge for measuring your next bend.

Key features include:

  • Adjustable angle stops at 22°, 30°, 45°, 60° and 90°
  • Built-in correction hole for adjusting bends
  • Ductile iron head for durability
  • Fixed handle with improved grip and visibility
  • Access to interactive tutorials through the BILT app
  • Limited lifetime warranty

DEADEYE™ Carbide-Tipped Hole Cutters

A Cut Above the Rest

When working with demanding materials, a clean cut matters. IDEAL’s DEADEYE Carbide-Tipped Hole Cutters use multi-directional tungsten carbide teeth to cut through tough metals while reducing heat buildup during repeated cuts. The one-piece design helps minimize vibration while the SmoothStart™ pilot bit reduces walking when starting the cut. With a cutting depth rated for material up to 6 gauge, these cutters are built for the most demanding electrical installations.

Key features include:

  • Multi-directional carbide teeth for cutting aggressive materials
  • One-piece design to reduce vibration
  • SmoothStart pilot bit for more accurate starts
  • Six-flat shank for a secure hold
  • Over 1 inch of effective cutting length
  • Compatibility with the DEADEYE Magnetic Chip Collector (model 36-815)
