Pre-Fab Services at Paramont EO Help Contractors Save Time

The concept of prewiring, preassembling or prefabricating some components of an electrical system has long been popular with electrical contractors. Contractors utilize prefabrication to cut down on repetitive job-site work processes that can be done faster and better in a controlled environment off-site.

However, pre-fab is a service that few electrical distributors provide to their customers, which makes Paramont EO’s in-house prefabrication assistance a valued opportunity for contractors.

We assist contractors by dedicating a space in our warehouse where a contractor can come in and do pre-fab assembly with their labor in a fixed environment, which takes our distribution value a step further.

We recently assisted a contractor with a large downlighting installation. Instead of taking delivery at the job site, carrying the equipment up to the right floor, opening the boxes and assembling each downlight fixture and dealing with disposal of the boxes, the contractor pre-fabbed the hundreds of fixtures at our warehouse.

The contractor sent an apprentice of theirs to the Paramont warehouse where he set up an assembly line to pre-fab the fixtures, saving our customer time and money while preparing for the job.

All the products the contractor needs are close at hand. The contractor can whip the fixture, put on the T-bar and install the lamp while we recycle the boxes. The assembled fixtures are placed in shipping containers and delivery to the job site is logistically staged as needed. This makes labor in the field more productive—installers just put the assembled fixtures into the grid as they go along.

Bring your construction and job site challenges to Paramont EO, and together, we’ll create innovative solutions that will save you time and money!
